TTL:- Transistor-Transistor Logic
One of the first integrated circuit logic types. Original TTL is rarely used, but its logic levels are the industry standard. The main features are:-
Voltage swing is 0.4 to 2.4 volts. 5 volt supply.

Unconnected inputs go high, but this should not be relied on. Power consumption is quite high, and increases slightly at high switching rates.

History:- 7400 series. The first, with switching speeds up to about 20 MHz. 74LS00 series. (Low power Schottky) Lower power and higher speed, up to about 40 MHz. 74F00 series. Higher speeds, up to about 70 MHz.
